Hampden Green
Denver, Colorado

A high density, mixed-use development, Hampden Green provides 16,500 SF of small-user retail within walking distance of 290 for-rent apartments. On street parking brings activity to the public way. Structured parking concealed within the apartment buildings meets the resident parking demand with 450 spaces.

Without ignoring the heavily trafficked Hampden Avenue, the development turns inward and provides an urban streetscape and pedestrian-friendly ways. The center of the development is a crossroads that brings residents and visitors together in a public plaza surrounded by storefronts. Water quality control measures retain and filter pavement run-off.

Subject to a 15-month-long Planned Urban Development (PUD) approval process, the project reconciled neighboring concerns with developer interests. The approved plan deeds the extension of a city street and the corresponding right-of-way to the City of Denver following construction in accordance with City engineering standards.
